Vorster up against the best of the best quad bikers at the LG XPO

Johannesburg, Friday, 5 August 2005 – Johannesburg-based freestyle quad bike star Lee Vorster will be among a host of the country leading extreme sports stars looking to shine at the premier event on the African calendar – the 2005 LG XPO to be held at the Ticketpro Dome, Northgate from November 4-6.

While Vorster will be out to turn on the speed and skill on the quad bike scene against the best that SA has to offer, Yamaha Red freestyle motocross stars Werner ‘the Flying Dutchman‘ van der Merwe, Gavin ‘Mad Cow‘ Cowley and Juan du Plooy will be looking to have the fans screaming for more when they take on an international line up in the LG Freestyle Motocross World Invitational with world ranking points at stake.

Five-time trials mountain bike national champion Dylan Victor and undefeated Namibian star Brian Weaver will be looking to impress on the mountain bike scene, while the Durbanite Tyrone Bradley can expected a tough challenge from the Gauteng duo of Jacques Fourie and Jimmy Reynolds on the bmx front.

Germiston‘s Will Twala will be out to stun the crowds with his vast variety of skateboard techniques on the half pipe ramp, while Mare Badenhorst will look to score points with the judges on the spectacular street skating course.

Morgan ‘DJ Switch‘ van Staaden will be shining his roller blades in anticipation of putting on a top clas performance in his competition, while foot up and motard biker Brian Capper is also expected to attract much attention in his quest for honours.

The public will get their chance to join in on the fun, with the quad bike course, boldering, scootercross and rap-jumping open to the young and not so young, who want to share in that adrenalin feeling.

LG XPO event organizer Leandro le Roux said that the list of events will continue to grow in the build up to the LG XPO show dates, as the continent‘s leading extreme sports show returns to its roots at the Ticketpro Dome, having been held at Kyalami Raceway last year.

Tickets for the LG XPO are on sale at Computicket outlets at R50 per day, with a cost of R80 person allowing entrance to the LG Xtreme Sports Concert only (Saturday, November 5 from 5pm), or a R110 per ticket per day allowing persons into both the LG XPO and the musical event.
