NATIONAL BOAT SHOW & DIVE EXPO PARTNERS WITH AUTO TRADER TO LAUNCH PRE-OWNED BUYERS SELLERS PAVILION
The Johannesburg National Boat Show & Dive Expo, which runs from 7 – 9 September at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg is celebrating its 10th anniversary with its most innovative announcement this year. This long-established boating, watersports and leisure lifestyle show will be launching its first ever Pre-Owned Buyers Sellers Pavilion in 2012, in partnership with Auto Trader South Africa.
Says Heidi Warricker, MD of Biz Events, organisers of the National Boat Show & Dive Expo, “A Pre-Owned Buyers-Sellers Pavilion is something that visitors have consistently asked for in the past. The timing was never quite right though, but with the economy struggling along as it is, now more than ever, people are less likely to buy new boats that will lose between 25 and 40% of their value in the first year. Pre-owned is becoming more attractive and together with our partner in this venture, AutoTrader.co.za, we‘ll be giving our visitors the chance to buy a boat that fits their budget, instead of bend their budget to fit the boat.”

The Auto Trader Pre-Owned Buyers-Sellers Pavilion is brilliant in its simplicity. Private sellers of pre-owned boats and watersports accessories will gain access to the show‘s captive audience of highly qualified and motivated buyers, for a nominal fee.
In exchange they get prime space to display and sell their boat at the National Boat Show & Dive Expo, a free on-site boat valet and an advertisement for their boat on the Leisure Section of AutoTrader.co.za, one week prior to the show.
The National Boat Show & Dive Expo attracts an audience of 30 000-plus visitors every year, and AutoTrader.co.za and m.autotrader.co.za reach a combined audience of over 600 000 each month, generating over 12 million searches. The Auto Trader magazine which is published weekly, will also feature this partnership in the lead up to the show.
